About Me

My name is Vasily, and they say I'm already 29 years old. It seems like a serious number, but I've only just realized what I want to do in life: what will bring me pleasure and what I want to achieve within a given time frame. But, let's take it step by step.

I was born in the hot July of 1994, specifically on the 13th at 10:00 AM Moscow time. From childhood, I showed an incredible interest in mechanisms and the principles of how systems work. At the age of 3, during a walk with my parents, I began to explore cars. To be precise, I removed the radiator grille from someone else's car :D. I have been around my father all my life, exploring the unknown world of engines, gearboxes, and other car devices. What am I getting at? That this is my favorite hobby. Also, to a lesser extent, I am interested in new discoveries in the field of astronomy, physics, and chemistry.

After the ninth grade at Lyceum No. 32, for some personal reasons, I left to study at the machine-building college in Vologda, where I graduated with a degree in "Automated Information Processing and Control Systems". I also attended additional courses at the Mezon National Training Center, where I received two certificates in the specialties “Web Site Development” and “Programming and Algorithmization”. After that, I joined the correspondence department of our university.

Since 2006, when I got my own PC, I started to take an interest in how the Internet works, as much as dial-up allowed. I studied HTML, CSS, table layout, and so on. I studied at a basic level data exchange protocols and even set up my own hosting at home. In 2009, during a train trip to St. Petersburg, I read a world-changing book about PHP, MySQL, JS, and AJAX. This gave a serious boost to dynamic web development and the understanding of concepts such as CMS. At that time, I studied everything within my reach: PHP-Nuke, PHPBB, xBulletin, and so on.

In 2014, I graduated from a technical school, obtained a diploma, and the next day, I started my first job at the company "Rostproektconsult LLC". My main task was to set up the network infrastructure. Among my main achievements: I completely rebuilt the network into a full-fledged star topology with the ability to connect via VPN; created default system images with the necessary software, reducing the time to set up a new workstation (using Acronis programs); configured software RAID-0 for file storage; created an online backup system for it. Also, by personal order of one of the founders, I created an anonymous web chat with a very rudimentary encryption implementation (not end-to-end, but still all messages were stored in encrypted form). After six months, I was left without tasks. Well, I guess it just didn't break down.

In December of that same year, the decision was made to switch to contractual support for the entire network infrastructure. And I started looking for a job. The job I found can be described in a couple of phrases: until April 2015, I worked as a waiter-bartender, where I gained incredible stress resistance.

In 2015, I wrote to the company PlaceStart, which was involved in studio development on CMS WordPress. I worked in this company for 3 years. During this time, I started learning Python, PostgreSQL; created two projects on 1C-Bitrix; one project on CMS Drupal 7 (a cinema website with synchronization with an external ticketing system created on MSSQL), practiced creating client-server applications (CMS WordPress, created a plugin that communicated with an external service created according to the REST standard; the service provided the ability to maintain a booking table and process requests); wrote a request management system for a government agency on Symfony 3; created and maintained 8 servers of various configurations for the operation of websites on various CMS and frameworks (also created my own console program that could create new virtual hosts, databases, and cron jobs for backup to the cloud service Dropbox); from scratch, I created a customer support department and was its head in the last year of work (selection of automation tools, development of training programs for specialists, and so on). Of the ideas that were voiced to the management but not implemented: implementation of git.

In 2018, I received an offer from RealWeb, to work in the studio development division CMS 1C-Bitrix. I was not able to complete a full project within 7 months, but gained experience in writing modules, components, and templates, as well as a deeper understanding of the CMS and D7. Additionally, I supported the company's internal services written in ZendFramework.

By August 2019, I started working at LLC "STC". There was a small department dedicated to the development and maintenance of an internal ERP system used in most of the business processes related to the manufacturing of the end product (production maintenance, warehouse management, data storage, etc.). The system itself was written in pure PHP+MySQL.

In 2020, I accepted a job offer from GoHack, a company dealing with services such as ActiveBot and SmmBox. These services are closely integrated with social networks and aim to assist SMM specialists in routine tasks and increasing community engagement through various interactive features. My main responsibility was to implement new features and fix errors. I also participated in the development of services, proposing and implementing ideas that increased user engagement and promoted internal purchases. The main technology stack was Yii2 + MySQL. After 3 years, I decided to interrupt my employment due to family circumstances.

After gaining work experience, I have come to understand my current goals. I envision my future as a specialized backend developer. I am tired of being a "jack of all trades" as it prevents me from becoming a true professional. I want to work on projects where I can demonstrate my passion for improving programming and deeply understanding software. I am ready to learn new programming languages and immerse myself in various web technologies. At the moment, I am a self-learner with some gaps in theoretical knowledge, and I am striving to fill them in order to bring value to people in any professional endeavor.

P.S. If you accept me into your cozy company, I will bring rays of kindness ☺
